b) Roles and influences of the various forms of mass media
(例：Discuss whether the international media brings more benefits or shortcomings to local culture.)
五） Environmental issues 環(huán)境論題
a) Causes and solutions to specific environmental problems.
(例：Water scarcity is a serious environmental problem. Analyze the causes and suggest feasible solutions.)
b) International perspectives on environmental problems
(例：Environmental problems are not restricted to individuals or countries. What are the advantages and disadvantages of instituting international laws?)
進(jìn)一步地細(xì)致觀察2004年考過的作文題目就會發(fā)現(xiàn)更加明顯的出題趨勢。在2004年初看到的話多問題都和犯罪率、科技相關(guān)。 同時關(guān)于環(huán)境和大眾傳媒的問題只是偶爾出現(xiàn)。2004下半年，話題的集中在了教育和就業(yè)上。事實(shí)上，九月份以后出現(xiàn)的三分之二以上的話題在某種程度來說都和教育相關(guān)。剩下的就是關(guān)于全球化和商業(yè)化（特別是廣告業(yè)）的話題了。因此，我們可預(yù)測到在2005年初將會看到更多關(guān)于教育的話題。而且，我相信話題將會重點(diǎn)轉(zhuǎn)換到發(fā)展和大眾傳媒上。這種推斷是基于過去每四個月對話題轉(zhuǎn)換的趨勢得來的。
因?yàn)橐恍〔糠衷掝}圍繞著發(fā)展和大眾傳媒（9月至12月），我們可以預(yù)測出在下一周期（1月到4月），這兩類話題將占大半。
總而言之，寫好一篇議論文的第一步是先要有一個清晰的概念和觀點(diǎn)。然后你要將重點(diǎn)放在為你的觀點(diǎn)創(chuàng)造充分的支持和相關(guān)的論據(jù)上。我鼓勵你們通過創(chuàng)造一個你所擁有的所有觀點(diǎn)的大綱，然后去練習(xí)那些剛才我在上面所提到的那些題目。記住，只要你能夠提供的理性的、邏輯性的解釋，那末你的任何觀點(diǎn)都是有根據(jù)的。如果這樣做了，我想毫無疑問你將成功地取得雅思高分。
